Magdaleena is a film/installation produced as the final project for Elian Mikkola's MFA degree.
Magdaleena was exhibited as a film installation in December 2018 at the Fifth Parallel Gallery, Regina, Canada.
The single-channel version of Magdaleena premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2020 as a part of the "Waiting Room" exhibition. It has also screened at Love&Anarchy Helsinki International Film Festival 2020 and Envisioning Trans Futures, Montréal, in 2024.
